IIDA was founded in 1994 from the merging of three different entities: the Institute of Business Designers (IBD), the International Society of Interior Designers (ISID), and the Council of Federal Interior Designers (CFID). Now IIDA focuses on bettering the profession of Interior Design through the education of it’s International members and promoting the highest standards of public safety and welfare.
